Diwali

Diwali

Namaste,

Diwali is a huge festival which honours Lakshmi and Ganesha and the light of supreme wisdom and marks the New Year in India. I love to celebrate this festival as it’s another sadhana with the opportunity to drop in and observe how your year has been and what is not serving at present, so you choose to let it go and not carry it forth into the New Year.

This particular November the Scorpion New Moon on wednesday marked the beginning of Diwali and I definitely found that the sting of the scorpion stung me! I had just returned home to my Beloved and this love reunion kindles so much I am safe and secure to release. Our marriage is commited, loyal, just like Vishnu and Lakshmi. As i turned into the fertile darkness of the new moon, i wept, not really about anything, just cleansing and releasing unresolved issues. Personally I am on a massive shift energectically and I am riding this wave with its ups and downs… I wil lwrite more soon, in meantime

I received my monthly moon reflection from Rebekah Shaman and truly it was so insightful::

“this emotional and watery Scorpio dark moon is helping us to heal some of our deep wounds that have been hidden or suppressed.

While this may be painful it can also be incredibly liberating, as we can finally heal ourselves from the past in order to move into the future with a new sense of freedom, energy and inspiration.

Scorpio brings to the surface our deep inner fears and feelings about who we are, and why we are here on this planet.

It opens up hidden wounds that need healing by igniting our desire for intimacy and connection. It can therefore be a challenging, emotional moon as the status quo gets rocked, and we have to face reality as it is.

Over this dark moon, rather than get paralysed by Scorpio’s sting, see it as an opportunity for change and use it to fuel you to do things differently in the future.”

Diwali

and so this is Diwali, the festival of lights, honouring Ma Lakshmi and Ganesha.  it’s about the good or the light or the wisdom conquering the ‘evil’ or dark or ignorance, it’s not this pseudo spirituality where only the good or the positive is upheld, for me this is not reality. Yes there is dark, sadness, anger, fear, it’s about bring of of this to light so that you embrace every aspect of yourself more fully and this is true wisdom.

I have spent my morning cleaning my whole house after my morning meditation, I used it as a warm up and then practiced a deep hip releasing flow on my beloved mat!

this particular track I love and is my offering to you, perhaps you’d like to also clean your house. It is said that the third day (tomorrow) is when Ma Lakshmi comes and she only comes to homes that are clean and light up, so take this time to clean your home which is a metaphor for cleaning, cleansing your own soul and invite the light, abundance and fertility of ma Lakshmi to come and Bless you and your life. there is a secret that the feminine needs to be asked, she remains hidden until you invite her in…so go on….invite Lakshmi in, let her beauty, abundance and fertility ignite your life for the New Year and truly bring to light any dark, stagnant areas so that you feel the shri-liciousness that Ma Lakshmi invokes. as you invite her imaging she’s asking you this question so you may set an intention

what is it that you truly wish to blossom in your life?

perhaps listen to this beautiful track from Donna De Lory and contemplate
