The Chocolate Kiss & the Third Eye

One devotee was dozing off as he was trying to meditate. Amma threw a chocolate kiss at him. Amma  has perfect aim. The chocolate hit right on the spot between his eyebrows. The man opened his eyes with the start. With the chocolate in his hand, the man looked around to find out where it had come from. Seeing his plight, Amma burst into laughter. When he realised that man had thrown it, the man’s face lit up. He touched the chocolate to his forehead as if bowing to it. But the next moment he laughed aloud and then got up from his seat and walked up to Amma.
Question: the Kiss hit the right spot, between the eyebrows, the spiritual centre. Maybe this will help to open my third eye.
 Amma: it won’t.
Question: why?
Amma: because you said “maybe” this means you want doubtful. your faith is not complete. how can it happen if you have no faith?
 Questioner: so you are saying that it would have happened if I had full faith?
Amma: Yes. If you have complete faith, realisation can happen at any time, anywhere.
Questioner: are you serious?
Amma: yes, of course.
Questioner: Oh my god…. did I lose a great opportunity!
Amma: don’t worry be aware and the wakeful. Opportunities will come again be patient and keep trying.
Man of the little disappointed and time to walk back to his seat
Amma: (tapping him on his back) by the way why did you laugh out aloud?
Hearing the question the devotee once again broke into laughter.
Questioner: as I dozed through my meditation. I was having a wonderful dream. I saw you throwing a chocolate Kiss to wake me up. I suddenly woke up. It took me a few moments to realise that You really had thrown a chocolate kiss

Chocolate Kiss

I love this…a gentle reminder to that within our hands we have the ability to transform, the chocolate kiss a simple metaphor for you to wake up to your faith, the insights within are there, draw them forth…taste them for they are sweet!.. .like chocolate and kisses (hopefully)

Faith

Faith is shraddha in sanskrit. Our practice cultivates faith on the mat and that ripples off the mat into your life.

when you re seeking to venture forward with a goal, do you have doubt that it is achievable?
In life do you have fear and doubts?

Faith is when you are fearless, you cultivate a deep abiding faith in your life, your venture, yourself, your practice, your beliefs… it is natural human nature to question or even to not know where exactly you are going or how you are going to get there, however if you know what you truly desire, you have envisioned it in your third eye, faith in the chosen direction releases fear and doubt. Fearlessness is fertile, it gives birth to faith. Faith is trust, that your whole being longs for this…. and then you offer wholeheartedly from this intention… the universe then conspires to reveal it to you and along the way offers you tests, like chocolate kisses, to see how strong your faith is!
