Honey Full Moon & Summer SolsticeBoom!

This is a rare event and hasn’t happened since 1948.

For me personally I always love the Honey Full Moon, because it is when I had my Barbados Wedding Blessing, a dream come true of saying my vows to my Beloved on the beach, pre-sunset and the moon rising.

Natural cycles of life

My dharma (purpose in life or mission) is to educate you through the sacred practices of yoga, mudra, mantra, pranayama, Tantra, Tantric bodywork, so you learn to evolve in the natural cycles of life, that merge and marry with the natural cycles of universal life, so you honour and respect yourself and life at the highest level. When you follow the cycles of the moon and sun, you become so in tune with your own cycles your own heart beats with the heart of the universe

Honey Full Moon & Summer Solstice ::

here’s some tit bits you’d might like to know:

the Solstice:

Summer Solsticeॐ The solstice derives from the Latin words ‘sol’ meaning sun and ‘sistere’ to stand still. its as if as the sun journeys throught the wheel of time through the year, this is when he is at the highest and then as if he is standing still.
ॐ The sun, Surya is considered masculine because it is penetrating, permeating, hot
ॐ the solstice is when the midday Sun is the year’s highest and is the longest day of light of the sun and shortest night of the year
ॐ (I’m becoming a scientific geek secretly) The sun journeys through the year and on the solstice he rises at its leftmost spot on the horizon and sets at the rightmost position.
ॐThe  arc of  the Sun at the solstice is the most curviest, because it is the highest peak of the wheel of time
ॐ another science tit bit; Check out your shadow at 1:00 PM, it’ll be the smallest shadow of the year.
ॐ the solstice is a reminder of how precious each day and season is. the journey of the sun throughout the year is symbolic of the process of attaining enlightenment. let this day illuminate your sadhana

the Moon ::

FullMoonand now you have my Beloved moon, who i’ve been in love with and following for 25+ years.

ॐ the honey-hued moon, which always occurs in June around the summer solstice.
ॐ Astronomer Bob Berman says “Honey Moon dates back nearly half a millennium, to 1 1552, The idea back then was that a marriage is like the phases of the moon, with the full moon being analogous to a wedding, Meaning, it’s the happiest and ‘brightest’ time in a relationship.” (see why i chose my wedding for then?)
ॐ  the moon is considered feminine, for she is mother energy, inward, fluid, flowing
ॐ This rare time of the Honey Full Moon & Summer Solstice on the 20th illuminates the sky morning and night..
ॐ the Full Moon is exactly opposite the sun. the moon rises as the sun sets.
ॐ so if the Sun is at his super highest, the peak of his journey this means this particular Moon is going to be really low as they are opposite.

The Dance of the sun and the Moon

Namaskar – the simpliest form of yoga is Namaskar. Put your hands together and untie the polarities within & without – Sadhguru

The sun and the moon are polarities and so you see this is a magical time, they are coming together much like out hands do in Namaskar or Namaste… I am especially excited, my energy is high and I am ready to share.

In Barbados I am offering a new Monday class called MoonDay Magic Flow where I will share the many phases/faces of the moon every week. this goes beyond my already Amavasya and Purnima (New Moon and full Moon) sadhanas. I will introduce the practices and benefits for the waxing and waning moons too…

and

on Tuesday I am sharing an event with Yoga.Unify and over 550+ other global events to celebrate International Day of Yoga.

lastly go be bright and full and shine your light as high and as luminous as the Honey Full Moon & Summer Solstice…
