This New Moon is in Leo, the Lion of the zodiac. and its all about Ignite your Vison. At this time when there’s so much change this Leo New Moon is here to remind you that you are really a Lion camouflaged in sheeps clothing.

What is the fiery sign of Leo inviting you to ignite?

To step into your power as a Lion or Lioness and stop hiding in sheeps clothing or the shadows, so you ignite your vision for your future.

First act of Yoga

The new moon is about renewal, regeneration or new-ness, as its name suggests. The first act of Yoga is to tune in, as your practice grows and evolves and if you follow the cycles of the moon, this offers you space to turn in, tune in and listen. The New Moon is the dark one and the darkness is the place for regeneration or the recycling of old into new. The moon mirrors your deepest desires that sometimes hide in the dark. The tuning in allows you to play hide and seek if you like! go within and seek out your hidden treasures. The dark contracted times are opportunities to come out of hiding and want more. really want more and the Leon New Moon is urging you to roar loud that you want more – do you?

I embrace the dark, even the darker, challenging times because for me they mean i need to reflect. I tap into my dark fears, call upon the dark goddess of Kali to show me the path. I look within the cave of my heart and make the change, sometimes very quickly or sometimes slow. I see with new eyes in the dark and let my vision expand in the fertile space of contraction, to see what may be (re)born.

Everything is born of the dark. Seeds are planted in dark dirty soil that is actually a space of immense fertility. The soil that is considered dirt yet it is so potent, pregnant with possiblity that nurtures the seeds to life, it becomes the very ground from which everything grows. A baby grows in the dark womb space of its mother before coming into the light of the world.

So back to the dark fertile nights sky and the Leo New moon…. think b i g, and vast like the sky. Dig deep in the soil of your being. Plant seeds of your vision for your future. Be aware of the cosmic ceiling above you and Mother Earth beneath you and align yourself between the two..are you ready to Ignite your vision so the roar of your faith is stronger than the mask of doubt?

The fiery Leo new moon ignites action. It is time to get out your comfort zone and offer your unique gift to the world, become the King or Queen of your jungle and let the roar of who you are shine. be Unafraid of the crowd and leave the sheep of the old paradigm.

What I love about the Leon New Moon is  the Lion. for me this has deep devotion, for it represents the Divine Feminine, Ma Durga, who rides a Lion (sometimes depicted as a tiger) and She is a Lover of truth. The Lion is a teacher, that is symbolic of energy, that primal sexual creative energy called Shakti and Durga rides the Lion with such ease. this is a massive reminder for me for my feminine tantric practices. At this time personally it is a massive shakti key on my own vision…so watch this space something is about to ignite..

Sometime we can be to proud to act, or become to self righteous – do you sense times in your life you are like this? and then the other side is the community, the pride of lions together.

the best way for your pride to not come from the ego is to pause and tune in, the first act of yoga. The New Moon offers you space for this. then in Tantra we are taught to embrace life with a  Y e s  – seeing everything as a source of expansion, even the darkness, or contractions or challenges, the ego that needs to let go.

As you roar, step into your truth (yes you may be scared) embrace your power and see that this act has tremendous impact to empower others.

Everything you do has an impact, when you begin to step up into your truth, be proud and shine and let this be a beacon for others. this is my final offering…

How is what you give the world in service of something greater than you?

These are the contemplations this moon is asking me to sit with and cultivate an intention or sankalpa for this last phase of 2016.
